Solenne Four Layer Cotton Gauze Blanket Tasseled Muslin Throw Quilt for Bed and Sofa

Four layers of cotton gauze are stitched together rather than filled, which is what gives this blanket its weight without bulk. Air moves between the layers, so it insulates when the room is cold and lets heat escape when it is not. That is the reason gauze blankets get used year round while a quilt gets folded away in April.

Cotton muslin softens with every wash. It comes off the loom with a slight crispness, then relaxes over the first few cycles into a crinkled, lived in drape that hangs off the end of a bed or over the arm of a sofa without looking arranged.

Tassels are knotted along the edges by hand, and the prints are dyed through rather than surface printed, so the pattern reads from both sides. Nine designs run from quiet solids to botanical and animal motifs.
