Hi, We are A Common Day, a small, fast-growing company out of California, designing the day-to-day that you never get a picture of. The mug you reach for when you're not quite awake. The blanket that always makes its way onto the couch at the end of the day.

This is the stuff that a home touches more often than any other, and most of it looks like it was intended to be display only. Our mission is simple: allow the fray of a day to feel well-considered, but never turn a home into a museum. We began when we realized which objects wear out. Not the ones that break, but the ones that fade to the back of the cabinet while the handle sits wrong, the color fades, or the care label turns you off midway through the week.
We shop as if we were styling our own homes: each piece is chosen based on how it will hold up to its 50th wash, not how it looks in 12 minutes.
If it wouldn't last a week of everyday use, it isn't on our shelves. We're held by three guiding principles: tried-and-true materials, because that's more cost-effective than charm; a low-maintenance color palette, so you can match it to what you already own; and plain speaking: honest info, no minimum free shipping, a thirty-day return policy, and a voice on the other end of the line eager to help. We'd rather build a loyal customer than take their first sale.
